LPG and natural gas conversions and repairs in Chelsea
On bottled gas or mains natural gas, we convert appliances between the two, set up regulators and bottle connections, and keep LPG installations safe and compliant.
LPG and natural gas burn at different pressures, so an appliance set up for one won't run properly on the other: yellow flames, soot, poor heat or an unsafe burn. Converting means fitting the manufacturer's injectors, adjusting the regulator and testing the appliance. We convert cooktops, ovens, heaters and hot water units in both directions.
For homes without mains gas we install and maintain LPG set-ups: bottle placement and cradles, regulators and pigtails, change-over valves, pipework and testing, so the system is safe and your bottles are easy to swap.

Common questions
Can any appliance be converted?
Most can, using the manufacturer's conversion kit. Some cheaper or older units can't be, and we'll tell you if that's the case before you spend any money.
We're moving from bottles to mains gas. What's involved?
Once the meter is in, we connect the house to it, convert each appliance to natural gas, remove the LPG regulator and bottle fittings, and test everything before you use it.
How do I know if my home is on LPG or natural gas?
If there are gas bottles beside the house, it's LPG. If you have a gas meter and a bill from a gas retailer, it's natural gas.
